1 Day Intensive American Dialect Workshop with Sandra Bell

Course Overview:

Travelling around Australia to coach, the extremely sought after Sandra Bell, accent coach, is returning to Queensland Headshots!

With the ever increasing amount of American and international shows coming to Australia and the growth of the Australian film industry, now is the time to get ahead of the ball and ensure your American accent is flawless!

This 1 day intensive workshop for kids covers all the basics and more, you also receive a showreel scene coached by Sandy at the end of the class.

Course Outline:

Understanding the American Dialect
Learning different sounds, blends, slang terms, etc.
Intonations and inflections
Rehearse with short television commercial, presenter scripts & monologues
Exercise and improve the dialect with scene work “in character”

Teacher Biography:

Sandra Bell

American Accent Coach

Sandra has been an American Accent Coach for over 25 Years in Australia. She has privately coached many well known Australian Actors on films around Australia and hundreds of others for stage.

Sandra has been teaching at QUT for 18 years (3rd year drama students) as well as teaching at Universal Casting, TAFTA, The Australian Film Academy, Quadron Agency, Reeder Agency, and many more in all major cities for 25 years.

Her acting debut starting with “Days Of Our Lives” and she has been a series regular on “Cybergirl” Which is currently running on the Disney Channel. She has over 75 TVC’s and her CV includes several appearances such as, “San Andreas”, “Code 1114”, “Mermaids”, and “Flipper”.

All participants will receive a filmed US accent scene for their showreel
